Releases: codemagic-ci-cd/codemagic-patch

codemagic-patch-server-v0.7.0

Choose a tag to compare

Fixes

  • Deployment and release pages now fetch only the selected adoption-chart time range, reducing database load and preventing pages from stalling under heavy usage.
  • Self-hosted backups now restart the exact server container that was stopped, improving upgrade safety when configuration or images change during the backup.

@codemagic/react-native-patch@0.5.1

Choose a tag to compare

Features

  • Added validated React Native 0.88.0 client SDK support, including new-architecture Android and iOS coverage.
  • Added Expo SDK 58 support using React Native 0.88.0, with Android and iOS coverage.

Fixes

  • Prevented stalled metrics uploads from blocking bundle selection, update downloads, synchronization, or other SDK calls. Metrics uploads now run independently from update operations on Android and iOS.

Other

  • Removed the unused sdk_version field from React Native metrics events. Older clients and server data remain compatible.

@codemagic/patch-cli@0.7.0

Choose a tag to compare

Features

  • Added server status, team list, team show, and app transfer commands.
  • Added deployment timeseries and failure analysis commands, including failure distributions and event details.
  • Added binary-version filters to release list.
  • app setting now displays current settings when called without an update flag.
  • token revoke can select a token by display name.
  • Promote can interactively select a source release when one is not specified.
  • Added React Native and Expo documentation links and refreshed CLI documentation navigation.

Fixes

  • cmpatch doctor now recognizes and redacts all supported server/OAuth credential formats, preventing deployment keys from being sent as credentials.
  • Doctor reports the detected platform consistently across native, download, delivery, and device checks.

Other

  • member remove, member update, token revoke, and member invite-revoke now require confirmation in interactive use or --yes in scripts and non-interactive environments.
  • Removed the unsupported hidden release inspect --logs option.

@codemagic/capacitor-patch@0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

Fixes

  • Prevent stalled metrics uploads from blocking Capacitor plugin calls, manifest fetching, or update downloads by processing metrics independently from other SDK operations.

@codemagic/capacitor-patch-cli@0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

Features

  • cmpatch-capacitor now outputs JSON by default when stdout is piped or redirected, while retaining human-readable output in interactive terminals. Use --format text to override this behavior.
  • Added cmpatch-capacitor doctor, which checks authentication, server connectivity, app and deployment configuration, native project setup, download connectivity, delivery verification, and device handoff. It also discovers Capacitor platform configuration and reports unresolved or mismatched deployment keys.

codemagic-patch-server-v0.6.0

Upgrade impact

  • Runs migration 0017_app_framework, which adds a framework column to the app table (default react-native). No index is rebuilt and no configuration change is needed.
  • Problem-details error responses now include a machine-readable reason, and detail no longer names a cmpatch command; CLI 0.6.0 and cmpatch-capacitor print the remedy themselves. Update scripts that matched the old detail text.

Features

  • Capacitor apps: the server stores each app's framework (react-native or capacitor), GET /v1/teams/:id/apps accepts framework=, and the dashboard shows the cmpatch-capacitor release command and a web-assets New release dialog for Capacitor apps. Apps created before this release are treated as React Native.
  • Binary version filter: the deployment and Metrics pages gain a Binary version menu that filters Adoption, the release history table, and Active devices, with group rows such as 1.x. Release detail gains a By binary version table.
  • GET /v1/metrics/deployments/:id/timeseries and GET /v1/deployments/:id/releases accept binary_version or binary_version_prefix; the timeseries response includes binary_versions, and GET /v1/metrics/releases/:releaseId now returns { binary_versions, release }.
  • Full and diff download metrics: release detail shows the size and download count of the full bundle and of the diff from the previous release.

@codemagic/patch-cli@0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

Features

  • cmpatch now shows only React Native apps: app create records the app as React Native, and app list, the interactive pickers, init, and doctor request only React Native apps from the server. Capacitor apps are managed with cmpatch-capacitor. On servers older than 0.6.0, all apps are listed.
  • app show prints the framework when the server reports one.
  • Server 0.6.0 error messages no longer name a cmpatch command, so the CLI now prints the remedy itself (for example the --private-key-path commands for an upload rejected for a missing signature).

@codemagic/capacitor-patch@0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

First published version. The API may still change before 1.0.

@codemagic/capacitor-patch applies over-the-air updates to the web assets of a Capacitor, Ionic, or Cordova-on-Capacitor app, using the same protocol and server as the React Native SDK. A release is a directory of web assets; applying it points the WebView at that directory with Capacitor's setServerBasePath. There is no bundler integration and no native fingerprint; releases are scoped by the native app version.

Setup: install the package, run npx cap sync, and follow https://patch.codemagic.io/docs/setup/native-setup-capacitor. Releases are published with @codemagic/capacitor-patch-cli (cmpatch-capacitor).

@codemagic/capacitor-patch-cli@0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

First published version. Flags may still change before 1.0. Requires server 0.6.0 or newer.

cmpatch-capacitor is a standalone CLI for Capacitor apps and does not require cmpatch. It signs in, creates apps and deployments, publishes built web assets with release create, and manages existing releases with release patch, disable, enable, promote, rollback, and adoption metrics. CI can sign in with personal access tokens.

  • Web root check: release create checks that the bundle has index.html at its top level before uploading.
  • Binary version targeting: --target-binary-version ties a release to a native build; release patch and promote refuse a target override that moves a release to another binary version.
  • Framework scoping: app create records the app as a Capacitor app, and app lists and pickers show only Capacitor apps.
  • Shared default server: reads the default server from the same ~/.codemagic-patch/config.json as cmpatch; sign-ins are stored separately in credentials-capacitor.json.

Fixes

  • Replaced unavailable bundled MinIO images with maintained PGSTY Silo images for local development and self-hosted deployments. Existing storage volumes remain compatible and require no data migration.
  • Backup upgrades now restart only the Server service, preventing dependent services such as object storage or the database from being recreated before the backup is confirmed.
