Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the following Android apps published by Build CAD (“we”, “us”, “our”) handle information when you use them (each an “App”, together the “Apps”):
- Video Republic — video, animation and audio editor (
com.videorepublic) - SVG Illustrator — vector drawing and design app (
com.svgillustrator)
In short: neither App has an account, sign-in, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDK. Your projects, drawings, videos, photos and recordings stay on your device — we run no servers that receive them, and we do not sell or share personal information. Video Republic has no internet permission at all; SVG Illustrator connects to the internet only through Google Play Billing, for purchases.
1. Information we collect
We, Build CAD, do not collect, store or have access to any personal information from the Apps. The Apps do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts, and use no advertising identifier.
2. Network access

3. How your content is processed
Video Republic
Rendering, effects and colour grading, drawing and animation, motion tracking and stabilizing, audio mixing, captions and the Sound Lab all run on your device. So do the App’s AI features:

SVG Illustrator
Drawing, editing, text layout, image tracing, and importing and exporting files (such as SVG, PDF, EPS, AI, DXF, PSD and PNG/JPEG) all run on your device. Files are never uploaded by the App.
4. Permissions

Photos, videos and files come in only through the system Photo Picker or file picker, or files you open or share to an App; neither App browses your photo library or storage on its own. In Video Republic, MIDI keyboards connected by USB or Bluetooth are used only to play the Sound Lab keyboard. You can revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings › Apps › [App name] › Permissions.
5. Information stored on your device
Video Republic stores your projects, imported media (or links to it), thumbnails and proxies, project versions, transcripts and captions, Sound Lab sounds, brushes, fonts, presets and settings. If the App closes unexpectedly, a recovery copy of the open project is kept until the next normal save.
SVG Illustrator stores your drawings, folders, favourites, brushes, styles and settings.
All of this is kept only in each App’s private storage on your device. Files you export or share go only to the folder, app or person you choose. Uninstalling an App deletes its private data; files you exported elsewhere remain.
6. Android backup and device transfer
If you use Android’s backup to your Google account:
- Video Republic backs up only its small settings files (such as settings, brushes, export presets, keyboard shortcuts, workspaces and Sound Lab defaults) — never your projects or media. When you set up a new phone with Android’s device-to-device transfer, your projects can be copied along.
- SVG Illustrator uses Android’s standard backup, which may include your drawings and settings (within Android’s backup size limit) and may be copied during device-to-device transfer.
Backup and transfer are run by Android under your Google account and Google’s Privacy Policy; we cannot see them. You can turn backup off in your device settings.
7. Purchases
Video Republic Pro and SVG Illustrator Pro are sold through Google Play as subscriptions or a one-time purchase. Payment is processed by Google; we never receive your payment card or billing details. Each App only receives confirmation from Google Play of which products you are entitled to. Manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions. Google’s privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

9. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone, and we do not use your data for advertising or tracking across apps or websites.
10. Data security and retention
Because we do not collect personal data, we retain none. Data stored on your device remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
11. Children’s privacy
The Apps are general-audience creative tools. They are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
12. Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. You control all App data on your device and can remove it at any time.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
