What is your organisation’s current level of compliance maturity? One of the most practical tools in our new European digital compliance playbook is a simple yet insightful maturity matrix, designed to help you assess your current state and identify where the risks and opportunities lie. It covers five key areas, from governance and authentication to audit readiness and eIDAS 2.0 preparedness. The matrix helps you pinpoint gaps in your digital compliance approach and take targeted steps toward a compliance-by-design model. How does privacy-first age verification work? Here is the basic flow behind Scrive eID Hub’s age-verification endpoint: ➡️ A user starts an age-restricted action. Examples include online gambling, alcohol delivery or restricted digital content. ➡️ The platform triggers age verification. The business selects a configurable threshold such as 16, 18 or 21. ➡️ The user authenticates with a trusted eID. This can include BankID, MitID, Freja, itsme, Smart-ID and more. ➡️ Scrive verifies the age requirement. The platform confirms whether the user meets the threshold. ➡️ The integrator receives a simple boolean response. The response is “true” or “false”. No date of birth or unnecessary personal data is required. This approach supports GDPR data minimisation while maintaining a familiar user experience so businesses can reduce privacy risk without adding friction to onboarding flows. Is your age verification process opening you up to unnecessary risk? https://lnkd.in/diWy4ZCe #AgeVerification #GDPR #DigitalIdentity #API #eCommerce

Using AI-assisted development tools like Anthropic . Claude Code, Lovable , OpenAI , Cursor or Replit? 🤖 Scrive’s APIs make it easy to add e-signing and identity verification to the products you build. So instead of building trust infrastructure from scratch, you can focus on the product experience itself and let us take care of the rest. Want to learn more? Did you know a huge amount of EU businesses face regular compliance challenges with document-based ID methods? 🪪 Most age verification systems still: - Ask users for identity data. - Store more information than necessary. - Increase compliance and security liability. That model no longer makes sense. If a platform only needs to know whether someone is above 18, why should it also process names, dates of birth and other personal data? Data minimisation is a core GDPR principle, not a feature request. That’s why our customers use Scrive eID Hub for age verification. The endpoint returns a simple true/false response based on a configurable age threshold. No unnecessary personal data needs to be shared with the integrator. The user experience stays familiar because the verification reuses trusted eIDs like BankID, MitID, Freja and others already connected to the Hub. Age verification requirements are increasing across Europe but regardless of use cases, the challenge is how to do it without creating unnecessary privacy and compliance risk. How are you currently verifying age? https://lnkd.in/diWy4ZCe #DigitalIdentity #GDPR #AgeVerification #eID #Compliance

Read some thoughts below from our CPO Monir Gueblaoui about the current state of the EU wallet preparation across Europe. Are you prepared for the wallet rollout?
Six months from now, every EU country must offer its citizens a digital identity wallet. Fewer than a third are on track. Most commentary stops there. "Europe is late again." Sure. But the deadline was never the interesting part. What is interesting: - The real deadline is 2027. A year after wallets ship, banks, insurers, telecoms and big platforms must accept them. That's not a government IT project — that's your customers' login and onboarding flows, rebuilt. - The economics do the convincing. An automated ID check looks cheap — €0.20 to €3. But 20–60% of users abandon or fail verification, agent-led video costs multiples more where regulators require it, and every provider verifies the same person from scratch, every time. A wallet flips that model: verified once, at qualified assurance level, reused everywhere. When compliance gets cheaper and conversion goes up, adoption stops being a regulatory question. My honest read: December will be messy, several countries will miss it, and it won't matter much. The infrastructure is coming either way — and the product decisions that decide who benefits are being made now. If you build for regulated European markets and this isn't in your roadmap discussions yet, that's the actual gap to worry about.
