Every new tool comes with new vocabulary. In our classroom, that's the point, not something to work around. Raegan's students aren't just clicking through a tool. They're learning what's actually happening underneath it. That's digital fluency: the ability to understand, direct, question, and create with the technology shaping their world. See what's new in AI Foundations this year at the link below!

New school year, refreshed site. 📚 We rebuilt our site so it's easier to find what you came for. Teachers grabbing a lesson, admins sizing up a program, policymakers digging into frameworks — everyone gets a clear, fast path to what they need. It's live today, right on time for back to school.

AI in your classroom, on your terms. AI is changing what’s possible in the classroom — and educators are the ones who get to decide how. This free webinar series is built to help educators understand what these tools actually do, apply them to real classroom needs, question where they fall short, and create better ways to teach because of them. Each session is one hour, open to all educators. Register at the link below for any or all sessions.

Screen reader support is now live across all Blockly labs on CodeAI. For the first time, students who are blind or have low vision can independently access and navigate block-based coding using screen readers and refreshable braille displays. Same labs. Same classroom. No separate track. Built in collaboration with Blockly at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, and shaped by blind and low-vision students, educators, and accessibility specialists. Explore the accessible Blockly labs at the link below!

Back-to-school season is here, and 1.8 million students are already showing up curious about AI. That curiosity is the easy part. Your classroom is where it turns into digital fluency — students who don't just use AI, but understand what's under the hood. Explore our curriculum at the link below!

The AI Literacy (AILit) Framework from the OECD Education and Skills and European Commission launched last month, and it gives US districts a common foundation for building digital fluency. Students who understand, direct, question, and create with AI. The framework defines the destination. Getting there is on districts, and fall planning season is when those decisions get made. Here's where we would tell districts to start: 1. Teacher professional development first. Teachers can't be expected to teach what the system hasn't equipped them for. 2. Integrate competences from all four domains throughout the curriculum from the outset. 3. Student data governance policies implemented before any AI tool enters a classroom. CodeAI supported the framework's development, and our curriculum puts it to work in US classrooms. Read the framework at the link in the comments!

Four years ago, the PS22 Chorus won our global competition coding a dance to Coldplay's "Higher Power." Today, they're performing with the band on the most-watched stage in the world. This is what happens when students get the chance to create. Congratulations, PS22!
