Have you ever struggled to show your PRs to Designers, Product Owners, or Project Sponsors? Say goodbye to screenshots and screen recordings. Meet Flitz – a faster way to get your app onto their devices in under 3 minutes, not hours! 🚀 Flitz turns any branch into a shareable preview that anyone on your team can open instantly on a real device. Here's how Flitz works: 1️⃣ Make a change on your branch, finished or still in progress. 2️⃣ Publish a preview. No PR, no CI run, no store upload. 3️⃣ Share the link or QR code, and your team can open the app on their devices. A feedback loop that can normally take hours, or sometimes a full day, can now happen in under 3 minutes. That's up to 99% less waiting for feedback. Flitz started as our answer to a problem we kept facing on client projects. After months of work, we're ready to share it with every Flutter team that faces it too. 💙 See Flitz in action 👉 https://lnkd.in/dbyr5Wz6 #Flitz #Flutter #FlutterDev

  • We're excited to see the Dart observability ecosystem growing 🥳

🚀 OpenTelemetry for Dart and Flutter takes a major step toward spec compliance. Today we released dartastic_opentelemetry_api 1.0.0-rc.4, along with 0.12.0, a backport release for users on the stable version. https://lnkd.in/eRKbJv8f This release brings the Dart API into closer alignment with the OpenTelemetry specification. It closes all the compliance deviations identified and improves performance. Highlights: ⚡ Microsecond trace and span ID generation. 📊 Expanded Metrics API with batch observable callbacks and improved instrument configuration. 🔍 More accurate tracing, including better parent-child relationships, context handling, and explicit root spans. 🌐 Stronger W3C Trace Context compliance for interoperability across distributed systems. 🛠️ Dozens of API improvements and fixes, including more compliant error handling and correct no-op behavior without an SDK. Some changes are breaking, so check the CHANGELOG before upgrading. But the real story is the community. This was an attack swarm that closed out our compliance tracker very quickly. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this release: 👏 Harshit Kushwaha - 8 PRs 👏 🐥 Yusuf Rosman - 5 PRs 👏 Robert Magnusson - 2 PRs and many detailed reviews. 👏 Benjamin Bennett - 2 PRs 👏 "I am Paradox" - 2 PRs 👏 Ahmed Abidi - 1 PR 👏 Rafael Almeida Barbosa - 1 PR And thank you to everyone who reviewed PRs, tested changes, and helped move the project forward. The high quality shows: our hockey-stick growth continues to accelerate. We are over 30k downloads a week, about to breech 100,000 downloads for the month - and climbing fast. This is important work and will be on devices in your hand and all around you - TVs, cars, checkout registers, kiosks... Next: We're shifting back to the SDK to close all the identified compliance issues and integrating API rc.4. In an upcoming post, I will detail the plan to move the donation into official opentelemetry-dart repo once we reach our compliance bar. Want to contribute and join our friendly, welcoming and sharp team? We'd love your help.
