For over a decade, AEC has been capturing reality in extraordinary detail: laser scans, drones, mobile mapping, photogrammetry. What's changed isn't how we capture it. It's how we interpret it. AI now sits between raw scan data and usable information, turning point clouds into floor plans, BIM models, progress intelligence and asset data. Running inference on billions of points is demanding work, and GPU acceleration with large memory pools is becoming essential to doing it day to day. The bigger shift is who does the work. A site operative with a handheld scanner can now produce plan data that used to need a trained CAD technician, and the modeler's job moves toward validation and quality control. Less time modeling what already exists, more time interpreting what the machine produced. We're no longer just capturing reality. We're teaching machines to understand it. HP Z is continuing as Hendrick Motorsports' Official Technology Partner, William Byron, and the No. 24 team for the 2027–2029 NASCAR Cup Series seasons. The engineering that shapes a race weekend carries extreme compute demands, from vehicle scans and engine development to live race data analysis. Most of that work happens long before a car ever touches the track, and that's the performance HP Z Workstations are engineered for. Read the full partnership announcement: https://lnkd.in/gQf5prBV
