Bio

Dennis is a WordPress engineer specialized in Multisite architecture and enterprise solutions. He has maintained a popular multilingual plugin since 2011 and contributes actively to WordPress core and the wider community. Based in Italy, he’s a native German speaker fluent in Italian. He co-organizes the Milan WordPress Meetup and speaks regularly at WordCamps across Europe and the US, covering topics from development to open source to community building.

WordPress Origin Story

My open source journey began in 2011, when I built a free plugin to make WordPress multilingual through Multisite. I quickly learned that open source is more than code. It’s about community, responsibility, and sustainability. What started as solving my own problem grew into years of contribution, collaboration, and knowledge sharing in the WordPress community.
